I went to NW and Fox could shoot, rebound and play defense like no one I've ever seen. He was our Oscar Robertson. In a playoff against a tough Bladensburg team, I think both thri ALl-Met guards fouled out trying to stop him.
And Mark Christian could out rebound an stop anyone!

Mark Christian was my uncle he's deceased now, but put him and Harold Fox on a court together to me it was the early verison of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, yes they could play ball. I also know Harold Fox we all grew up in the same neighborhood.

I was lucky enough to be going to Northwestern during those years and he was special. He got hurt during the championships in 69. He came back from halftime and took total control of the game.

My father was the head coach at Northwestern when they won the state championship 2 years in a row. I was young but remember watching Harold and Mark Christian play and they were great. I also remember them winning the championships by a ton of points and for some reason they were underdogs. I remember going to the practices and their secret weapon was my father would play music on a reel to reel while they practiced.

My dad is telling me that one time Harold Fox scored 64 points in a game at Northwestern... "an incredible display of shooting prowess." Wish I'd seen him play.
