I knew Yvon Jospeh in Haiti where we attended the same school. He leaved in the beginning of 1980, I'm happy to have news about what he did. Effectively he's a giant, the tallest of our secondary school.
Here he played volley-ball. Basket gave him the opportunity to exploit his heighth and his talent.

There's a great story about Yvon Joseph when he was in college. Apparently he was on campus without transportation, so his mother sent him some money to buy a car. Instead of spending that money on a car, the mechanical engineering major bought a COMPUTER. This was back in the day that a computer cost $3000 or so. Anyhow, it shows you where his priorities were. He was the man.

Yvon Joseph used basketball to become successful. He did not become successful because of basketball and I am really proud of him. I will always love him with everything that I am.

Congratulations Mr. Joseph for taking advantage of basketball and not letting it take advantage of you. One thing that most people don't know about Mr. Joseph. He is a wonderful caring human being. I love him for life.
