Garnett stated at the 2007 all star game that he is 6-11 3/4 so a 7-0 listing is correct.

Garnett left Mauldin after his junior season because of a bogus and racist charge against him. Bob Gibbons said he was the best he saw in 30 years of covering High School and he teamed with Ronnie Fields at Farragut Academy.

You know you may be right that he grew to 7'0" actually. KG now is claiming 6'10.5" and I don't believe that especially considering Reggie Miller(6'6") and T-Mac(6'6.25") say he looks 7'1"-7'2". They are tall enough to be able to tell he isn't 6'10.5".

Well KG says he is 6'11.25" barefoot and that'd be about 7'0.5"-7'0.75" in shoes and the NBA lists some players in shoes so yeah he could be called 7'1". So saying he is 7'1" isn't an incorrect statement. You are correct about Hakeem and Barkley was measured 6'4 5/8" in the 1992 Olympics and claims 6'4.75"

Well your statements are not incorrect. Kevin Garnett has said himself he is 6'11.25" making him 7'0.5" or 7'0.75" in shoes and many NBA heights are listed in shoes. So yeah by many NBA standards he is indeed close to 7'1" however if you put him next to a real 7'1" guy like Shaq who measured 7'1" barefoot and already 303 lbs back in 1992 KG looks his listed 6'11". As far as Hakeem you are 100% and Barkley is pretty much 6'5"...claims 6'4 3/4" and measured 6'4 5/8" at the 1992 Olympics(Source Sports Illustrated). I didn't really mean to correct anything I was just curious because I too have heard about KG being 7 feet but not wanting to be listed it so I was wondering if this was an actual listing from back in 95' because I remember him listed 6'10"-6'11" around the draft that year.
