Athletically Young is an elite athlete blessed with explosiveness … Possesses a great first step to get full separation from his defender … Dangerous on the baseline drive where his body control and athleticism allow him to make spectacular finishes around the rim … Defensively his lateral quickness, anticipation skills and quick hands make him a treat to play the passing lanes for steals … Possesses three point range on his jumper … Mid-range shooting has improved when taking one or two dribbles and then pulling up … Young has a great motor, consistently moving without the ball for open looks … Shows signs of being a great passer with his court vision and ability to dish off on drives … Quality rebounder due to his leaping ability and long arms … Great finisher in transition where his athleticism allows him to finish with flair … Being left handed can make him a bit awkward to defend as right handed players are usually the norm for opposing defenders … Potential is very high as he has yet to even scratch the surface … Will back down smaller forwards and shoot the turnaround jumper … Possesses a decent basketball IQ that is constantly improving …
