Draft Notes: A five-year man Ben tab auare trom Wake Forest considered one of the best team leaders around. He averaged 16.2 points and had 182 assists in his final season, and his frequent displays of outside shooting were awesome. - 1981 APDraft Note: The NCAA granted Frank Johnson an extra year of collegiate eligibility. Before the 1979 NBA Draft the league decided to ban the selection players who still had an additional season of eligibility in college and had not declared hardship status. Only Bobby Turner of Louisville was granted an exemption for his status to stay eligible for the draft despite dropping out of school and not declaring.
