P-Bird is one of the best if not the best to ever come out of Suffolk I played basketball, foot ball and baseball but could never be the player he became we use to get up early mornings and play one one ever day and i would win most of the time until one day I saw him making my moves and doing to me what I could do to him right then and there I knew he was NBA ready on the court. He may or may not remember the name "P-Bird" in how he got that name his mom had got him this green with black writing and on the change guard the name was "T-Bird" I said to him am going to name you "P-Bird" but I'll keep that between me and him. Lol

I was fortunate to see Michael Britt play at Dunbar in Washington, DC in the urban coalition league. He was Jor thedan before Jordan. He packed the house when he played.great rebounder, very exciting, and he played against top notch players, but Britt was who everybody came to see trust me,there was plenty of NBA players who got no attention like Britt.one of my favorite players of all time.Len Bias was in this same league. Great players watched Britt take flight. Gus Johnson, rick mahorn, gene Smith of Georgetown, the list goes on.

Michael britt is a Cuzn of mine. He was truly something special.. Not too many guys dunk on 7'4"Ralph Sampson, but he did in hs championship game! Right now he is training kids how to play the game of basketball. Including my son, who is a sophomore in Norfolk , va.

i want to remenber this great player, who was playing in France in the 80's
The Tours BC dont exist anymore but lot of people remenbered him as a great and fantastic player. Hie Mike, if you are reading thoses lines, it's a young journalist talking to you. I was 16 year's old at these time, in Tours France. I expected you remenbered this nice town and the club (the coach Michel Bergeroo too) and this wonderful city. Thank's for the season we live with you but we never understood why you have shoose to leave?

I played against and with Michael Britt "P-Bird" as we affectionately called him in the late 90's and he was the most versatile and awesome player that I was ever blessed to play with. What a Suffolk legend! I still brag about him. Glad to know he is back in my hometown doing well. what a guy and a friend..
