I met Bill McGill in 1961 when he played for the Utes. He also played the drums and he was as sweet a man as he was good at basket-ball. I was crazy about him, however, coach Gardner threatened to throw him off the team if he continued to see me. My skin was the wrong color, and back then, if you looked white, you were considered white. Thanks for the site where we can keep these guys alive.
