Assets
Throw back point guard who is a true disrupter of the ball … Athletically, a solid athlete blessed with good quickness … Offers ideal size for his position with good upper body strength … Possesses great ball handling ability… Court vision is superb in that he sees everything on the court and most importantly seems to know where everyone is on the floor … Has all the tools to be a quality defender with his quick hands, lateral movement and body strength … Has become a much better shooter from long range this past season … Plays with great poise and maturity … Has developed a nice pull-up jumper from 14 feet that he can make with regularity … Patient point guard that plays under control while controlling the tempo of a game… Is a decent finisher in transition where his body control and above average athleticism enables him to convert with some ease … Makes great decisions with the ball in his hands … Great rebounder at the point guard position … Leadership qualities have really blossomed this past season … Excellent post passer …
Liabilities
Despite his improvement in shooting from the perimeter he remains only a decent (not great) shooter … Doesn't always finish in traffic like one would expect … Defensively he should be a better lock down defender … Whatever the reason he clearly doesn't play defense with a high intensity level to match his physical gifts … Offensively he may never be a great scorer as his confidence tends to waiver … While Sessions has solid overall quickness he isn't blessed with an explosive first step … Surprisingly still needs to work on finishing in traffic where his floaters and finger rolls don't always find their way to the basket … Is a liability from the three point line, lacks the needed consistency … Can go through periods where he gets careless with the ball …
