My favorite memory of Oliver Lee was in the Florida High School All-Star game in the little fieldhouse on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville.

Time was running out in the first half and Boone High coach Wayne Rickman, who loved to stall the game before the introduction of the shot-clock, held up one finger and said "one-shot" as Oliver Lee began to bring the ball up court.

Lee dribbled down the sideline to the right corner and accelerated as he made a 90-degree turn to the basket.

He then rose from the floor and above a couple of defenders, who each were a least 6-foot-10, and slammed the ball through the hoop.

As Lee trotted back down court with lots of time remaining on the clock and the crowd going wild, Coach Rickman was repeatedly shouting "I said one shot."

Well, as was usually the case, Oliver Lee only needed one shot.

Thanks for the memories OL!
