Jan Loudermilk was and still is the best basketball player Big Spring High (Tx.)ever produced. As a senior in January of 1958, Loudermilk set a Big Spring High scoring record that 59 years later, no one has come close to matching, 75 points in a game vs. Odessa Ector. Of course, he went on to be a fine college player at SMU.

Jan Loudermilk was the best college free throw shooter in 1961. He was in the high 90% shooting rate.

A good friend living down the hall from me at SMU Glad you've gone on to a career in medicine.

This guy ( Jan) is amazing, while I was travelling in Asia I met this gentleman. We became friends. One day I had a bad gout attack and went to a few of the local Hospitals. after a frustrating few weeks I bumped into Jan. I later learned "Dr. Jan," he reviewed my meds and set me straight. He was a basket ball player also? Amazing....

They don't make them like this any more. Big man that can hit high percentage, rebound, and not a hack-a-shack. Wait a minute, we do have Dirk. :P
