2003 Scouting Report:

Strengths: Extremely versatile player that can play three positions on the floor: point guard, shooting guard and small forward ... Shows tremendous anticipation skills and long arms to play the passing lanes for steals ... Unselfish, constantly looks to get teammates involved in the offense ... Has the height to get solid looks at the basket over defenders ... Likes to stop on his penetration into the lane and shoot... Creative scorer who can get off some spectacular shots in the lane ... Above average ball handling ability allows Daniels to break down his defender or lead the break ... Constantly improved his court vision every year at Auburn ... Intelligent player who understands how to make mid game adjustments depending how the opposing team plays him ... Excellent finisher around the basket as he converts a high number of lay-ins and floaters ... Is a great rebounder due to his long arms and hustle ... Has really matured into a leader this past season for his ball club ... Has the slashing ability to take his defender to the basket and draw the foul... Clutch player who wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line ...

Weakness: Defensively Daniels will need to improve upon his lateral quickness ... Needs to become more consistent behind the three point line ... Tends to rush himself on offense which can lead to some questionable results ... Could stand to add more upper body strength to his frame ... Daniels will need to improve his overall guard skills ... Mid-range shooting can go through periods of streakiness ... Remains a below average free throw shooter... Not a possessor of tremendous athleticism ... Because of his versatility, Daniels was constantly moved around ... This constant shuffling of positions has hampered his development somewhat but helped his versitility ... Can struggle to penetrate when guarded by a physical opponent... Doesn't always use his height to post up smaller defenders ... Confidence in his perimeter shooting can go astray at times ... Will have to improve his ball protection skills as he can be a little turnover prone ...
