Draft Notes: Great quickness for a 6-11, 220-pounder, Meriweather should eventually be someone's first-string center in the NBA. The agile big man is not much of an outside threat, but then he doesn't have to be. He's great inside, pounding the boards or scoring. Last season, Southern Illinois made much ado about Meriweather's talents and he came through for the Salukis, despite the pressure of the big buildup. Meriweather scored 20 points and averaged almost 11 rebounds a game.- 1975 AP
