(1988)This coming April 16, 2018 will be the 15th Anniversary of Michael Jordan's last played NBA game. It will also be the 30th Anniversary year of the greatest year of basketball & hip-hop (1988). 1988 was the 1st-year that rap/hip-hop was recognized as a category at the American Music Awards and 1988 was the NBA All-Star "Dunkadelic Battle" between Michael Jordan & Dominique Wilkens at the old Chicago Stadium a building where some of the best fights of the 40's, 50's and 60's were fought. 1988 would also be the last year that Magic Johnson would win his 5th and final NBA Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. 1988 was "Great"

The 1984 NBA Draft led by Chicago Bulls drafting Michael Jordan with the 3rd pick was one of the 5 major events that led to the birth of the basketball and hip-hop culture fusion time-period born in 1984 that is known now as The "Dunkadelic-Era" In America, 1984-Present. The "Dunkadelic-Era" will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary during the year 2009 (1984-2009).
