2002 Scouting Report:

Strengths: Athletic high flyer and quick leaper who can throw down some impressive dunks during a game … Has excellent court vision unselfish looks to set-up teammates almost every time he touches the ball … Good finisher in transition has no problem going to the basket … Is a good defender has all the physical tools that premier defenders have such as long arms, lateral quickness, quick hands and most importantly anticipation … Superb first step gets to the basket with relative ease once there his athletic ability enables him to convert hard drives easily…Good rebounder knows how to utilize his athleticism to make an impact on the boards very good at doing quick tip-ins …Moves well without the ball a skill that not many young kids posses … Due to his size, he has no problems shooting over most defenders … Can shoot well from about 21 feet an in ... Has stamina can run all night if needed … Above average in terms of his post-up game can fadeaway or spin to the basket … Has shown improvement as a 3-point shooter as he is starting to become more consistent … Age at only 21 most players his age are Juniors so in reality he still has a little time on his side …

Weakness: While he has improved he still doesn’t take over games like one with his ability should … Could stand to gain more upper body strength this would greatly help when he drives to the basket as sometimes he doesn’t have enough strength to finish plays … Has a habit of falling in love with his jumper when this happens he seems to abandon his main strength his wonderful slashing ability … Shot selection still an issue although this year he really hasn’t been as bad like previous years … Not a strong mid-range shooter so defenses are usually geared to stopping his penetration to the basket … Still learning the game from a fundamental standpoint as he still commits more than his share of turnovers although to his credit he has lowered his poor decisions on the court …
