The shock is beyond belief and my boys and I are profoundly saddened at the sudden passing of truly a Wonderful Man, a Great Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Neighbor and Animal Lover. A kind soul with a generous heart that only those who know him will appreciate all his innate qualities that exude with such grace and class. Albeit, my heartfelt gratitute goes without saying always for Both You and Rhea's moral support and assistance as always but I wish reiterate once more...

THANKS SO MUCH GRATEFULLY for all Your & Rhea's TLC's toward Rex (my former German Sheperd)--I couldn't find a better home that Rex deserves than Yours after leaving mine; THANKS SO MUCH GRATEFULLY for stitching up Franz's busted lower lip while playing ball in your backyard with your boys at Flying Jib; THANKS SO MUCH GRATEFULLY for instilling a sense of calm in putting out the spilled fuel fire at the the fondue dinner table when You, Rhea, Chris & Nick came over to ours at Springwinds Dr. You'd struck a profound impression with Ben till today to always remain calm and focus in the most unexpected moments of distress (I'd thought the whole house would burn down if not for Your calm yet swift action!)
THANKS SO MUCH GRATEFULLY for all Your and Rhea's profound words of consolation, encouragement and inspirational advice during my most trying moments per my family's transitional period. Not forgetting most of all THANKS SO MUCH GRATEFULLY for shooting some hoops with Franz & Ben in our front porch when they needed a a mentor and they're so proud and deeply honored that a humble Pro like You lead the way!

Both my boys and I are profoundly saddened by your untimely demise and our prayers goes to Rhea, Chris & Nick Ginger & Jay. I'm confident with Rhea's relentless TLC's, profound strength and nurturing ways, both Christopher & Nicholas will lead the future through this beacon of light throughout their growing years to be just like the inspirational Human Being that YOU ARE!

I had the honor of working with Dr. Kessler for nearly two years. He was not only an awesome doctor, but a true friend and a mentor.
My heart goes out to Rhea and the boys. This community has been devestated.
We will always have a tall angel watching down on us!

It was a very sad day, Saturday, 10/13/07, in Gulf Breeze Florida as Dr. Alec C. Kessler, Former Georgia Bulldog & Miami Heat Alumn, and Orthopaedic Sports Physician & Surgeon, collapsed while playing a pick up game of basketball with several other physicians & was pronounced dead at Gulf Breeze Hospital. I worked with him & he was well loved & respected not only by his staff but by his patients. He is gone, but not forgotten!
