Played against Larry in summer leagues during his HS years. One of the strongest players going to the basket I ever saw. Changed Public League rules to keep him from fouling out.

I went to Villanova when Larry played for LaSalle, so I could not root for him too much.
But I have never seen a combination of strength, jumping ability and pure basketball savvy. On foul shots by his own team, Larry would often soar above all the players and tip the missed shot in.
He was so strong that when he missed a dribble, the ball would bounce way up in the air...
Thanks for the memories.

Just a quick note to see if this gets to Larry. I'm Joe Cannon Jr., a cousin of Larrys who I haven't seen since I was a kid and watched him play ball. Would like to hear from him. E-mail is "jcannon34atcarolina.rr.com" Thanks.
