2003 Scouting Report:

Strengths: Attacks the glass with reckless abandon. Uses his body well under the boards to gain post position, and has long arms to get rebounds out of his position ... Very good at quickly outletting after rebounds, something that will really aid a team in fast break situations ... Strong post player that can really use his body well, often, he's strong enough to overpower people to the basket... Excellent hands, if you throw the ball in his direction he will catch it... May not be a premier shot-blocker but he can be intimidating ... He does have the physical gifts to improve on his defense: such as long arms, good timing, and the fact that he stays in front of his man all add to a potentially effective defender... Takes it to the rim with authority. There is little finesse to his game offensively ... Moves well without the ball and has developed a nice baseline move that he uses to get past opposing players ... Has started diversifying his offensive game, and has shown the ability to knock down the 10-12 foot jumper... Athletic and mobile. Runs the court well for a player his size would have no problem keeping up with a fast paced team ...

Weakness: Hasn't really developed any perimeter skills. Sani gets most of his points in the interior with put-backs and dunks ... Post moves are very predictable, it wouldn't hurt to add some variety to his game like a hook shot, and definitely a turnaround jumper... Doesn't really react to double teams well, and at times tries to force the action due to his poor decision making ... Should continue to add a little more muscle mass to his frame, as of right now it will be hard for him to keep his position on the blocks without being pushed off... Hasnl really played basketball for all that long ( 5 years) so fundamentals are still in question ... Ball handling hasn't really ever been developed due to his domination of the interior... Post footwork remains very choppy although this will get better as his feel for the game matures ... Has the ability to make mid-range shots, although he has yet to hit them on a consistent basis ...
