Draft Note: The NCAA granted Mickey Dillard an extra year of collegiate eligibility. Before the 1979 NBA Draft the league decided to ban the selection players who still had an additional season of eligibility in college and had not declared hardship status. Only Bobby Turner of Louisville was granted an exemption for his status to stay eligible for the draft despite dropping out of school and not declaring.
