Draft Note: The Warriors were uncertain of Sarunas Marciulionis's birthdate. Being that America, in 1987 was still in the midst of our Cold War with the Soviet Union, Marciulionis's amateur status was still undetermined because of political red tape. It was found later that Marciulionis was born in 1964, and being 23 years old, was automatically eligible for the 1986 NBA Draft. His selection was deemed ineligible and his rights were moved to that of a free agent, which made him eligible to sign with any NBA team.
