*Draft Note: Brent’s selection was immediately flagged by NBA Commissioner Walter Kennedy. Kennedy informed the Lakers that David Brent didn’t declare for the NBA Draft via hardship. Lakers were working under the assumption that because Brent signed with the Memphis Pros of the ABA. His amateur standing no longer counted against his draft eligibility. The lakers quickly acknowledged the mistake and selected Paul Stovall of Arizona State with the 22nd pick in the second round.
