Brother: Purvis Short
Draft Notes: One of the nation's most fluid big men, the 6-7. Short averaged more than 26 points and over 9 rebounds a game while leading Jackson State into the NAIA playoffs. The graceful, 200-pounder "never shows any degree of pressure," according to one scouting report. Another talent-finder notes, "He's smooth and operates so smoothly-he's a good-looking ballplayer to watch." Another hardship case.- 1975 AP
